Challenges

Sport Clips was an already-built appointment management app. The client approached us due to our stupendous reputation in mobile development.

The main challenge was to add the ability for the users to book an appointment using voice recognition. The users should be able to specific voice commands to find the desired Salons and book their appointments.

Responsibilities

Playing with voice recognition is one of the highlights of our mobile development engineers. We assigned our mobile experts who have already worked in this domain in different applications. 

SiriKit was newly introduced by Apple at that time and as working with the latest trends and technologies is Tiksom’s specialty so we decided to implement voice command recognition with SiriKit.

Our team builds a module that takes the voice commands and acts accordingly e.g. “Find Salon” finds the nearby salons and shows them to the user in for list and the user can choose the desired salon for booking.

Existing web services were used to connect with the SiriKit module to fetch and display the desired data. 

Overall it was a learning experience for our team as we explored and implemented SiriKit and delivered the required features in a timely manner.
