PostgreSQL AWS EC2 React Native AWSMorePaws is a comprehensive digital ecosystem built to redefine the dog-owner experience. At its core, the platform enables users to create profiles, connect with nearby dog lovers, and share real-world experiences — from group walks and meetups to trusted recommendations for dog-friendly venues and services.
By blending social networking with geospatial discovery, MorePaws lets users explore dog-related businesses, join community events, and access exclusive pet-care perks, all within a highly engaging, mobile-first interface.
The platform’s interactive map, dynamic newsfeed, and integrated perks marketplace enhance connectivity and simplify everyday dog ownership, transforming a fragmented set of tools into one unified experience.
The client approached us with an already built product spanning iOS, Android, and Web. A major challenge was to quickly understand the existing architecture, code quality, and cross-platform dependencies without disrupting active users.
The application was hosted on a local VPS setup, which created constraints around scalability, reliability, and deployment automation. Migrating the system to a cloud-native AWS environment was critical to support future growth and production stability.
The platform suffered from multiple functional and UI bugs across mobile and web. These issues impacted core flows, user engagement, and overall platform trust, requiring systematic debugging and refactoring.
Push notifications were inconsistently implemented across platforms, leading to missed alerts and poor real-time communication. Fixing and standardizing notification handling was essential for community engagement and user retention.
Conducted a full technical audit of the existing iOS, Android, and web codebases to understand architecture gaps, identify high-risk areas, and create a phased stabilization plan without disrupting live users.
Planned and executed the migration from a local VPS environment to AWS, introducing scalable infrastructure, improved availability, and cleaner deployment workflows to support long-term growth.
Systematically identified, prioritized, and fixed a large backlog of production bugs across mobile and web, improving application stability, performance, and overall user experience.
Reworked the push notification flow across iOS and Android to ensure reliable delivery, correct handling across app states, and consistent behavior aligned with platform best practices.
Optimized API usage, background processes, and client-side logic to reduce crashes, eliminate edge-case failures, and enhance responsiveness across devices.
