TOKEN2049, one of the world’s premier crypto conferences, approached us with an urgent need to improve and stabilize their digital infrastructure ahead of their flagship event. However, we faced several immediate roadblocks.
The biggest challenge was the absence of technical documentation. Understanding the existing codebase became a time-consuming task, as our team had to reverse-engineer complex logic without any architectural guidance.
Similarly, the database structure lacked documentation, making it difficult to trace relational mappings, business logic, and data flows. This significantly slowed down feature enhancement and bug resolution.
To make things more complicated, no staging environment existed, which posed a major risk. Testing and deploying updates directly on production meant zero margin for error, a critical concern for a live, high-traffic platform during peak pre-event activity.
We began by conducting a deep technical audit of the codebase and database to map out all dependencies and workflows. This reverse-engineering effort allowed us to document the system architecture from scratch and create a reliable baseline for development.
Next, we designed and deployed a dedicated staging environment, enabling the client to test features, content, and configurations without impacting the live platform, a foundational step for risk-free rollouts.
We also refactored critical components of the code for improved performance and maintainability, ensuring the platform could scale smoothly during traffic surges associated with the conference.
By stabilizing the environment and streamlining the workflow, we helped TOKEN2049 run its digital operations with confidence, setting the stage for a globally visible and successful event.
