Swift kotlin React Native

TrustTech required a unified React Native SDK to expose Video ID flows already available via native iOS and Android SDKs from SigniCat.

Tiksom designed and built a cross-platform React Native bridge that cleanly wraps SigniCat’s native SDKs. The SDK exposes a consistent JavaScript API for session initialization, secure video capture, real-time status callbacks, error handling, and result delivery, while delegating sensitive operations to native layers.

This is a Plug and Play SDK that TrustTech can embed across multiple apps, reducing integration time, ensuring parity between platforms, and maintaining strict compliance with regulated identity workflows.

Challenges

Native SDK Bridging: Safely mapping complex native Video ID flows to a stable React Native API without leaking platform specifics.

Asynchronous Video Sessions: Handling long-running video capture sessions with reliable callbacks, cancellation, and recovery states.

Security Boundaries: Ensuring PII never touches the JS layer beyond strictly required metadata.

Platform Parity: Aligning iOS and Android behaviors where native SDK capabilities differ.

Build & Distribution: Packaging the SDK for internal consumption with versioning, documentation, and example apps.

Responsibilities

Designed the React Native native-module architecture for iOS and Android.

Integrated SigningCat Video ID SDKs natively (Swift/Kotlin) and exposed them via a unified JS interface.

Implemented secure session lifecycle management, callbacks, and error normalization.

Provided SDK documentation, integration guides, and sample usage for TrustTech’s mobile teams.

Supported internal QA with debugging hooks and environment-based configuration.
